# Linear

Connecting **Linear** lets your team drive Trevize from the issue tracker you
already use. Once connected, Trevize can **respond to `@tervezo` mentions**,
**automatically generate [briefs](/concepts/briefs) from issues**, and **handle
issue assignments** — bridging planning in Linear and building in Trevize.

## Connect Linear

Linear connects over OAuth.

1. **Authorize**

   From integration settings, choose **Connect Linear**. A popup opens where you
   authorize Trevize to access your Linear workspace.

2. **Confirm the connection**

   When it succeeds, the **connection status** shows **Connected**. Trevize can now
   receive webhooks from Linear, respond to `@tervezo` mentions, and process issue
   assignments.

## Managing the connection

- **Reconnect** — re-authorize or switch to a different Linear workspace.
- **Disconnect** — remove the connection from this workspace. Webhooks and
  `@tervezo` mentions stop working.
